Good morning Mansfield staff and students!
Welcome to the second day of Respect Week. We are three of your Mansfield peer mediators. We are here to talk to you about bullies…. Bullies are found everywhere- in small communities, towns, big cities, playgrounds, neighborhoods, malls, parks, on the streets, and anywhere else people gather.
Bullies come in all shapes and sizes. Boys can be bullies and so can girls. Adults can be bullies, too. Bullies have been around for centuries. In fact, they’ve been bothering, pestering, hurting, and troubling people for too long. The good news is…bullies CAN be stopped.
Bullies can be stopped by standing up and speaking out against bullying. If you witness someone being bullied, stick up for the victim! Tell the bully, “I don’t like the way you are treating my friend,” or “I don’t like the way you are acting. Stop it!” Remember, if you stick up for someone else, then maybe others will stick up for you in your time of need.
Have a great day and be respectful!
